Educational Advocacy
Students with mental health issues or developmental disabilities often struggle to learn successfully in traditional educational settings. Finding the optimal educational plan can be challenging for educators and parents while leaving the child feeling increasingly alienated from learning and socializing with peers. ECS offers clinicians that specialize in supporting your child through the obstacles and challenges of learning in the face of mental health or developmental difficulties. Our clinicians will be there every step of the way to ensure that your child achieves the success they are capable of. We offer individual support, expertise in navigating educational service opportunities in the primary and college setting, as well as a strong advocate for shaping Special Education supports and accommodations to the specific needs of your child. These supports and accommodations may include:
- Individualized student support plans
- Providing teacher trainings
- IEP goal development
- In-school observation
- Exam preparation skill development
- Behavior intervention plans (BIP), and
- Functional behavior analysis (FBA).
