Learning Disabilities
ECS Psychological Services offers a range of testing options to assist in determining the presence of a learning disability in children or adults. Our highly trained clinicians will work with you to identify the presenting difficulties, review previous testing results and integrate observations from school and parents. The testing process is then tailored to the individual’s specific needs. Patients and/or parents will meet with Dr. Christopher-Sisk to review and discuss the results and will also receive a detailed report of the results including recommendations for treatment and accommodations in home and school settings.
Our clinical staff’s knowledge of the needs of children with learning disabilities is also helpful when parents or school personnel are working to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEP). Our staff is available to attend school meetings on behalf of our patients or to serve as a consultant to assist in developing strategies and services that allow a child to learn most successfully in their school environment.
